Cat-skeptic reluctantly honors a nightly kitten buffet, then the neighborhood stray cats spread rumors of his wholesome open-door policy: ‘Word on the street is that you are warm, welcoming, and generous with the treats'

Looks like this man got a variety pack of stray cats delivered to his front door, but did he ever place an order? Nope. Sometimes cat-skeptics and non-cat people are granted the opportunity—no, the honor—of dipping their toe into the world of cats. However, this guy in our next story, whose porch cats multiplied over the course of a week of regular nightly buffets, learned that it wasn't up to him anymore if he was going to be a cat person or not; it's up to the cats. 

Cats come in many colors, shapes, sizes, and ages, but we love them all just the same. They're adorable, floofy, elusive, and sometimes quite ornery, but when a cat has decided to make you their chosen human familiar, you've won the jackpot. This man, a guy who was formerly a self-proclaimed "non-cat person," won this lottery six times over when a family of strays decided he was their new happy hour spot. After leaving some food out for a sad-looking tortie kitten, that cat started bringing along some buddies, and eventually their entire family of variety-pack cats. Kindness went a long way for this kitty family, melting the heart of a stone-cold man who now has a collection of admirers waiting at his back door every night.

    Then another kitten showed up with the original tortie. The kitties seemed to understand that this man next door had some extra kitty kibble that he was willing to share, so why not make this their new local spot?
